By train, from Santa Apolónia or Oriente railway stations (international stations).  You go out at Azambuja (45 minutes) or Vale da Pedra (55 minutes). By car, you follow by A1 highway and exit at Alenquer/Cartaxo by the secondary road to Azambuja. Arriving there, you cross the viaduct over the train tracks the right side as you enter the town, and follow until Reguengo. Arriving to Reguengo, at you right side, you find a plate indicating «Palhota – Village Avieira» and follow up to the village. From Santarém, you take the road direction Cartaxo, from here to Valada and afterwards Reguengo and Palhota village.
